Cadillac CT6 to Launch January 27 in China

While here in North America we will wait (im)patiently until March, China will get the first chance to sample the new Cadillac CT6 when in launches on January 27.  The Chinese version is said to be virtually identical to the American form, albeit with a few different trim options.

The CT6 promises to be the new flagship sedan from Cadillac.  Cadillac has managed to make the CT6 8.5 inches longer, yet 44 pounds lighter than the current CTS model.  The CT6 is based on the new "Omega" platform.  This is made possible with more aluminum bodywork.

The CT6 will be offered with a new standard four-wheel drive system, and either a 3.6-liter V-6 or twin turbo 3.0 liter V-6.

Check back frequently at Gurley Leep GM Giant for availability of the new model CT6.

CTS-V: "Best Sedan America Can Offer"

Bloomberg Business offers up a glowing review of the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V, calling it "the best sedan America can offer", and who are we to disagree?

Bloomberg notes the "grizzly bear" roar of the 6.2-liter V8 CTS-V, which is a wonderfully new sound for Cadillac.  And that roar comes from a 640 horsepower engine that the CTS-V shares with the Corvette ZO6.  All of that power has the ability to push the Cadillac to a top speed of 200 mph, with a zero-to-sixty time of just 3.6 seconds.

You can see our entire inventory of Cadillac models at Gurley Leep GM Giant.  Stop by our showroom at 215 W. Douglas Rd. in Mishawaka to see them in person.

Have you SEEN this? The smokin'-hot Buick Avenir Concept car

In case you missed it, Buick debuted their exciting new luxury sedan concept, the Avenir, earlier this year.  While not a lot of details are available, estimates of a release date suggest possible 2018.  Unlike other Buick models, the Avenir is completely new from the ground up, rather than a similar vehicle to an existing General Motors product.

Notice the interior, virtually no buttons, almost all controls are touch screen, and the few buttons that remain are pure aluminum.  No cheap plastic to be found.

The Avenir is a pure luxury 4-seat sedan, and would be an incredible addition to the Buick lineup.  Check back regularly at Gurley Leep GM Giant for future news and availability.

2016 Buick Cascada opens new horizons

25 years in the making...

2015 Buick Cascada

The first drop-top to be part of the division's U.S. lineup in a quarter of a century, the 2016 Buick Cascada debuted in Detroit. Arriving in showrooms early next year, this compact, front-drive 2+2 convertible is a mildly restyled and enhanced version of the Opel Cascada which was introduced in Europe in 2013. Envisioned from the start as an open-air exercise, the Cascada matches handsomely sculpted bodywork with a rigid core structure. A near visual clone of its Opel cousin, the Cascada boasts a revamped grille not currently shared by any other Buick model-a design cue that departs from the current waterfall style.

Inside, this new Buick offers premium amenities and more, starting with a soft-touch dash, leather upholstery, heated front seats/steering wheel, power seatbelt "presenters" for the front buckets and a power-fold feature for the rear seat backs. On the technology/connectivity front, the Cascada boasts Buick IntelliLink with a 7.0-inch color screen, navigation, OnStar 4G LTE with Wi-Fi hotspot, Siri Eyes Free for Apple iOS6 or newer, lane-departure warning, rear park assist, rearview camera, Rainsense wipers and pop-up bars behind the rear seats that automatically deploy when a potential rollover is sensed.

Based on GM's Delta platform architecture and featuring a 106.1-inch wheelbase that makes rear seat legroom viable for most average-size adults, the Cascada's well-tuned suspension pairs control-optimizing HiPer Struts up front with a Watts Z-link-enhanced torsion beam at the rear. Rounding out the mix is an electrically-assisted power steering system and a standard 20-inch wheel/tire fitment. Sole engine at launch will be a 200-horsepower/1.6-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder that develops 208 lb-ft of torque but can crank out up to 221 lb-ft for short bursts using an overboost function. It will be mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. Pricing for the 2016 Buick Cascada will be released closer to its on-sale date.

The GM Certified Pre-Owned Advantage

When you purchase one of our Certified Pre-Owned vehicles, you get more: new car confidence with a used car price tag. In order to be selected for certified status, only a few vehicles are chosen and must meet the highest, strictest factory-set standards. Not only is certified status something that has to be earned, now it means more for you. It means Owner Care. It means a better vehicle package, giving you greater confidence of our exclusive 2-year/24,000-Mile1 CPO Scheduled Maintenance Plan which includes oil changes, tire rotations, and a multi-point inspection. It's another reason why our owners experience more satisfaction and certainly get more than the average vehicle.

All Pre-Owned vehicles must go through a strict evaluation and meet our premium manufacturing standards to earn the Certified title. Vehicles will qualify for the evaluation if they comply with the following requirements:
  • Be a Chevrolet, Buick, or GMC
  • Be within current plus-5 model years
  • Be within a maximum of 75,000 vehicle miles
  • Pass our 172-Point Vehicle Inspection and Reconditioning Process
  • Have a clean title
  • Come with a Vehicle History Report

The 172-Point Vehicle Inspection and Reconditioning Process includes:
  •  Maintenance
  • Tired and Brake Pads
  • Detailing
  • Road Test
  • Functional
  • Engine Compartment
  • Under Vehicle
  • Interior
  • Exterior
  • Hybrid Vehicles

Our 172-Point Vehicle Inspection and Reconditioning Process is conducted only by highly trained technicians and adheres to strict, factory-set standards to ensure that every vehicle's engine, chassis, and body are in excellent condition. The technicians ensure that everything from the drivetrain to the windshield wipers is in good working order, or they recondition it to our exacting standards. The vehicles are road-tested, put up on a lift for a complete underbody and frame inspection, and then completely checked for any cosmetic flaws.

Warranties
When we say "no worries," we really mean it. Buy a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle from Chevy, Buick, or GMC and you're protected from the moment you leave the lot. Why? Because all of our 2010-2015 vehicles come with two factory-backed auto warranties that combine to provide fantastic coverage: a 12-Month/12,000-Mile1 Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty and a Powertrain Limited Warranty, both with $0 deductible.

    • Yukon: Full-size SUV
    • Terrain: Compact SUV
The 2015 study tracks 2012 model year vehicles in the third year of ownership.

    • Audio/Communication/Entertainment/Navigation (ACEN)
    • Interior
    • The Driving Experience
    • Features/Controls/Displays (FCD)
    • Heating/Ventilation/Air Conditioning (HVAC)
    • Seats
GMC has manufactured trucks since 1902, building innovation and engineering into all GMC vehicles. The brand continues to evolve, offering more fuel-efficient trucks and crossovers including the Terrain small SUV and Acadia crossover.
