For 32 years there has been only one standard if there’s something strange in your neighborhood. Starting Friday July 15th, the face of this go to source has…changed some.

                Along with a reboot to the world renowned 1984 film, the car used by the parapsychological team has been revamped as well. To many people, “this is something weird, and it don’t look good”. In preparation for the release of the rebooted upcoming Ghostbusters franchise film, Columbia pictures have been showcasing their newly designed “Ecto-1” mobile.

The original Ghostbusters release “Ecto-1”was a 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor Ambulance, which has since been replaced. A 1984 Cadillac Fleetwood with a Eureka Herse body will now take the center lane – a nod to the release of the original franchise film which debuted the same year.

With a 5 liter small block V8 and a whopping 134 hp it may not carry the greatest response time but Cadillacs of that era were built for comfort. Not speed.
