Until
last year, Buick had two SUVs in their lineup, the subcompact Encore and the
full-size, seven-passenger Enclave. There was a hole to fill, as Buick did not
a SUV in the midsize range. Well Buick went out and built a midsize SUV that
fills the gap, the Envision.
The
2017 Envision is Buick’s take on the midsize SUV, a five passenger vehicle that
follows Buicks standards, with an emphasis on quiet and comfort rather than
athleticism. The Envision is available in five trim levels: base, Preferred,
Essence, Premium and Premium II. Both Premiums, which boast a 252-hp turbo
four, come standard with all-wheel drive; everything else, powered by a 197-hp
naturally aspirated four, can be had with all- or front-wheel drive.
Regardless, the transmission is a six-speed automatic.
The
infotainment system of the Envision includes Buick IntelliLink system and its
eight-inch screen includes Apple Car Play and Android Auto, negating the need
to add $2,000 or so to the price tag to include a navigation system. A handy 4G
LTE wireless hotspot is included as well. There is plenty of space in the
leather-upholstered interior for all 5 passengers. Front occupants enjoy heated
8-way adjustable seats, and the outside rear seats are heated as well. Cargo
volume sits at 26.9 cubic feet with the second row up and a cavernous 57.3
cubic feet when there’s no need to accommodate additional passengers.
The
2017 Buick Envision is now on our lots waiting for you, with a base price
starting at $36,795. Check out our inventory if these great vehicles and
